Midori is by far my favourite writer on the subject of BDSM and fetish. Reading a couple of paragraphs of her writing is enough to induce a sinful grin on my face, not just because of what she says but the style and grace with which she says it. She is simultaneously soft and wicked, and mostly when I read her writing I’m doing it because I like her personality.
This book focuses on the mental and psychological aspect of fetish and BDSM play with fundamental topics such as pain and pleasure, dominance and submission, fetish wear, public play and everything else you’d expect, but it’s all done with a feminine flair that almost makes me giddy.
I find her writing very insightful and is a useful pick-me-up when I am feeling a bit low or out of steam; or simply just to read for the fun of it :)
