Edgeplay I: Knife Play
• Fetishes
I’m not really a ‘knife person’, if I may use such a peculiar term; but we both thought the scene in Bitter Moon where Mimi teases Oscar with a knife was pretty hot. Like many people I have a healthy prejudice against knives, stabbing (!), and cutting and I think this may have clouded my judgement on the use of knives in a sane, consensual BDSM context.
I don’t know what to make of my recent thoughts involving me running the tip of a knife over Richard’s body that give me tingles of sadistic excitement. But it occurred to me that his desire to be made to bleed a little may be most safely and easily realized via knifeplay.
Of course, it really does bring a new (if rather droll) meaning to the term edgeplay…
Nevertheless, I have preliminary experiments with knives on the list of new things to try when the mood and chance arises. I’ll start by disinfecting a blade with heat and running it over pet’s restrained and naked body with various measured degrees of pressure.
This also gives a chance for me to experiment with heat play which is something else I’m interested in experiencing. Whether I can go further than this remains to be seen - I am a little squeamish with my own blood and thoughts of drawing blood from another body are muddied by the confusion of sadistic interest and my own thoughts about knives and blood, etc…
Certainly, without even breaking the skin, there is something seductive about the power and trust invoked by a blade.

Richard overheats, melts drips down into a puddle on reading this.
Sigh. Hurry home!

I use a knife to remove wax if I play with candles. I also use a knife to play with the tip of my submissive’s cock. The idea of running the blade over his body sends excitement through my body AND his. Also, as seen on our blog, he used the knife IN me! :) Enjoy everything this life has to offer!
